The walks in the Walk Sintra APP are tested and walked by us and our clients for years. They are classified according to various things:
By Location
Which part or parts of Sintra they go through: Historic Center, Mountain, Coastline, Countryside. As the long distance footpaths pass through various locations in Sintra, they are in their own category (Long Route).
By Type
Whether the routes are Circular or Linear.
By Distance
The distances of the walks range from 900 meters to 30 kilometres.
By Cumulative Ascent
This information will give you an idea of how strenuous a walk to expect.
By Accessibility by Public Transportation
Are the beginning and end points accessible by public transportation, and if so, which.
You Choose
All of the above can be used in the APP as filters to choose the best walk for you. In addition, there are various photographs of each route to help in the decision. The distances can be shown, according to your preference, either in metric or imperial system.
