Trail Description

This circular path with excellent views starts from Cabo da Roca and goes along the coast to the beautiful Adraga beach, known for its rock arch and caves, returning through the countryside trail of the marked PR7 footpath. The way to Adraga is mainly single lane and requires good shoes and physical preparation, as the second and third kilometre are quite technical. 1.5kms into the walk, a path separates to the famous and picturesque Ursa beach, which is a de-tour option. The return from Adraga is done on country roads, with the painted footpath markings. As always, but especially on this walk, it is important to remember not to stray from the path for your own safety. In addition to your camera, take water along, as there is almost no shade on this route, and the only refreshments are in the beginning and Adraga.

Our suggestions
  • Visit the westernmost point of continental Europe, Cabo da Roca
  • Take a detour to relax on the wonderful Ursa Beach
  • Check out the natural crater down to the sea on the cliffs before Adraga beach
Where to Eat & Drink
Adraga Café and restaurant

A family-owned restaurant right on the beach with excellent locally sourced and fished ingredients, prepared to perfection. The fish soup is a favourite of passing hikers.  Closed on Tuesdays. Tel. 219 280 028
